Mumbai: The city airport remained shut for operations for around half an hour on Monday evening due to heavy rains and poor visibility, resulting in diversion of 8 flights. There were no operations on the two runways during this time,” a Mumbai International Airport Ltd spokesperson said. Eight flights were diverted to nearby airports during the runway closure time, a Mumbai airport official said. The operations, however, resumed at 8.35 pm, the MIAL spokesperson said without divulging the flight details. PTI
