Imphal: Militants attacked security posts near the Indo-Myanmar border and exchanged fire with the forces in Manipur, an official said today. In another militancy-related incident, suspected militants hurled a powerful improvised explosive device at the residence of chairman of Imphal Urban Cooperatve bank RK Mobisana at Uripok area on Tuesday in Imphal West district but it failed to explode. It was not clear if the attack was linked with the monetary demand from the bank official. PTI
