Man shot dead in Delhi

New Delhi, June 8 (IANS) A 55-year-old man who was shot at here succumbed to his wounds in a hospital, police said Saturday.

Kuwarpal Singh, a sanitation surveyor in east Delhi Municipal Corporation, was shot June 1 while he was going to office.

"He was rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital from where he was refereed to Sushruta Trauma Centre, where he succumbed to his injuries early Saturday," said a police officer.

Singh lived in east Delhi's Nand Nagri area.

Delhi Police have arrested two people regarding the murder. A third accused is absconding.
