Lookout for someone to take care of queen's time

London: If you are the one who can take care of time-pieces, you have a chance to serve the British Queen. The Queen is seeking a time-piece expert, officially known as an horologist, to keep things ticking at Buckingham Palace and other residences, The Sun reported. AP[/caption] Advertised on the Royal Household website, the post involves weekly winding clocks, repairing them at once in case they break down and changing them by an hour twice annually. Applicants must also have a head for heights to be able to work up towers and know how to fix barometers, thermometers and even sundials (a device that determines the time of day by the position of the Sun). The job will fetch 30,000 pounds (about $47,000) a year for working 37-and-a-half hour week besides offering “access to an unparalleled collection of clocks”. IANS
