Tinder in India: These stand-up comedians show you what it's like

Indian comedian Anuvab Pal has made a video on what it is like to use the dating app Tinder in India as a woman.

The 7-minute long video shows a young, single girl, played by actress Lekha Washington, going out on multiple dates with different, strange men that she met on Tinder played by several known comedians such as Chandan Raina, Aadar Malik, Nevil Shah, Karan Talwar, Rohan Joshi and Abish Mathew.

tinder380 The start of the video shows that in the US, Tinder is an app that helps people meet and have sex. And then goes on to show that it is not what happens when it is used in India, claiming that all the re-enactments in the video are actually based on true stories.

So we have Lekha who is single and looking to meet some interesting men through an app that her friend has suggested. In the process she meets a host of men, each weirder than the one before.

There is a ‘Dad man’ who cannot seem to stop talking about his father’s achievements, a creepy ‘chest hair man’ who makes her touch it, a Bengali man who is shown to be an intense philosopher and a Punjabi man who only wants to drink and party, even at the cost of killing people.

There is also a shady guy in a hood who steals her phone (which makes very little sense, if he is stealing phones, why is he on Tinder in the first place?) and an extremely dimwitted flight attendant who thinks Morocco is a fictitious place and wants to sleep around on airport trolleys.

But finally when she meets a good guy, it turns out be even stranger as all he wants to do is paw her in front of his parents. By this time, Lekha has decided she has had enough and gets a pet cat saying she found true love.

The video is fun to watch as you will even laugh out at the ridiculous things the men say or at Lekha’s facial expressions. And if the above incidents are based on true stories as the video says, our sympathies are with the women who had to endure the creepy chest hair guy.
