Mane, a driver with Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation, took out an empty parked bus from Swargate Depot in Pune on the morning of 25 January, and drove it maniacally on the city roads for nearly an hour, before police stopped him. After the arrest, Mane told the police that he did not know why he did it. His family members said he was suffering from depression. “We will keep Mane under observation and assess his mental condition,” Superintendent of Yerwada Mental Hospital, Vilas Bhailume said. PTI
