Kanimozhi, Stalin to take part in DMK's fill the jails protest

Chennai: Around 50,000 party members including his daughter and Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi will participate in “fill the jails” protest today, said DMK president M Karunanidhi. Speaking to reporters here Tuesday, he said: “The ‘fill the jails’ protest will be held in a great manner …. we are confident about it. The agitation is being held to condemn the continuing arrests of former DMK ministers and other party members. According to Karunanidhi, the party treasurer and his younger son MK Stalin is slightly unwell but has still announced his participation in the agitation. Karunanidhi said the party’s MPs and legislators would still vote in the presidential election even if they are not released after being arrested in the agitation. IANS
