IndiGo plane suffers bird hit in Vadodara, makes emergency landing

Vadodara: A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at the Harni airport in Vadodara today after suffering a bird hit soon after take-off. All the passengers including Union Minister of State for Railways Bharatsinh Solanki as well as the crew members on board are safe, an airport official said. Rakesh R, personal assistant to Solanki said the Vadodara-Delhi flight-6E 482 landed at the Harni Civil Airport around 1030 hours after the pilot decided to make an emergency landing as the tyre of the aircraft got damaged after the bird hit.[caption id=“attachment_121651” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“Plight in flight. Reuters”]  [/caption] Chirag Zaveri, a Congress corporator in the Vadodara Municipal Corporation said that after seeing off Solanki at the airport, he had left for home. But after the emergency landing, Solanki informed him before leaving for Ahmedabad to catch a Delhi-bound flight from there, he said. The number of people on board was not known and further details are awaited. PTI
