New Delhi: Aiming at increasing its global footprint, low-cost air carrier IndiGo today announced daily flight services to Bangkok and Dubai from Mumbai. [/caption] The new direct daily flights on the Mumbai-Bangkok-Mumbai and Mumbai-Dubai-Mumbai routes will be effective from 2 October 2011, IndiGo said in a statement. “We have received great response from our customers on our recently launched international flights and we feel quite encouraged. We hope to receive a similar response for our international flights to and from Mumbai,” Indigo president Aditya Ghosh said. In September, IndiGo had begun its maiden daily direct international flights on the Delhi-Dubai, Delhi-Bangkok and Delhi-Singapore routes. The first Bangkok-bound flight from Mumbai would fly out from the Mumbai International Airport carrying over 160 passengers on-board, the statement said, adding that later during the day, operations would commence on the Mumbai-Dubai-Mumbai route.
