A Greek deputy minister has quit the government over new austerity measures, the second to do so in two days.

AP”] [/caption] Athens: A Greek deputy minister has quit the government over new austerity measures, the second to do so in two days. Deputy Agriculture Minister Asterios Roundoulis announced his resignation on Friday. Roundoulis is a member of a the rightist LAOS party, a small coalition partner in the government which vowed earlier Friday to vote against harsh new austerity measures. LAOS has four members in the Cabinet which was due to hold an emergency meeting later in the day. On Thursday Deputy Labor Minister Yiannis Koutsoukos, a Socialist, also quit in protest at the harsh new austerity measures demanded by rescue creditors in exchange for a new, €130 billion bailout.
