Protesting against the Central Railway, angry passengers at Diva railway station in Thane blocked the train tracks, however, the Thane police reached the spot and situation is reported to be under control.

On Monday, Mumbai local commuters were left stranded on the Western Line from around 11.15 am as a major power failure stopped all trains. The glitch occurred due to the theft of 18 electric batteries of 12 AH capacity from the Mahim electrical sub-station at Mahim.

That's not all. Taxi drivers have gone on strike in protest against the fares charged by cab aggregators. Government officials are expected to meet on Tuesday to come up with a viable solution.
