Frozen to re-release in India

Mumbai: Disney’s 3D film ‘Frozen’ is all set to hit Indian theatres again tomorrow after getting two Oscar nominations and the best animated feature film award at the Golden Globes. The film is in the Oscar race for the best animated feature film of the year and the best original song for ‘Let it Go’. The film did well in its first release and continues to run at many cinemas, with best animation feature award from Golden globes and Academy Award nominations. “We felt the need to bring this family entertainer back to viewers and cinemas are equally excited with this new initiative, we are confident Frozen will attract and entertain many more viewers this time as well,” said Gaurav Verma, Executive Director, Theatrical Distribution, Disney UTV. The animated movie, based loosely on Hans Christan Anderson’s fairy tale - ‘The Snow Queen’, features voices of Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad. The story revolves around two estranged sisters and how they come to mend their relationship eventually. ‘Frozen’ was first released in November last year. PTI
