Four injured in Manipur blast

Imphal: At least four people were injured when suspected militants triggered a powerful explosion in Manipur’s capital town Imphal Tuesday morning. Police said the blast went off around 5.55 am near Dharamsala in the heart of the city. The four injured included two labourers, one student and a driver, police added. A senior police official, who rushed to the area, said that the preliminary investigations indicated that the blast was triggered by a remote controlled device. Police said that the militants might have targeted the migrant labourers who gather near Dharamsala every morning before going to work.
