Tiruchirapalli: Chennai based Education Support Services Company EdServ is targeting 2.5 lakh “tablet PC” users to download its ‘2tionPlus’ apps over the next 8-10 months through its tie up with Amazon.com, a top official of the company said today. Through this tie up, EdServ will provide its education content that includes Tuition, Academics, Skill Development, and Test Prep Services on Android Tablet, he said. On the response to its earlier tie ups in the mobile space, Giridharan said “already 3 lakh subscribers have downloaded EdServ’s Education Apps through our previous tie ups with Blackberry, Nokia and Samsung Smart Phones.” The Tablet PC is gaining popularity among students and is a growing market for EdServ. With this trend in the mobile and tablet PC space, EdServ will exceed a 1 million customer base by 2014, he said. The company is currently in talks with other global tablet PC providers for roping them in to provide education content on Tablets, he said. PTI
