New Delhi: Drug major Dr Reddy’s Laboratories today reported 29.17 percent decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 363.31 crore for the third quarter ended 31 December 2012.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 512.96 crore in the same period of previous fiscal, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories said in a filing to the BSE.[caption id=“attachment_625378” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Trimmed profit. Reuters[/caption]
The Hyderabad-based firm’s consolidated net income from sales and services, however, rose to Rs 2,865.16 crore in the third quarter, compared to Rs 2,769.19 crore in the same period of 2011-12 fiscal.
On a standalone basis, the company’s net profit rose over three-fold to Rs 346.64 crore for the third quarter, against Rs 108.03 crore in the same period of previous fiscal.
Shares of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories were trading at Rs 1,884.50 apiece on the BSE in late afternoon trade, down 1.11 percent from its previous close.
