[/caption]Thousands of people poured into Ramlila Maidan braving Delhi’s infamous sun and heat. As Anna Hazare started speaking after ending his fast, people pushed each other to come near the podium to catch a glimpse of him. However the heat and crowds took its toll, with many people falling unconscious and others complaining of uneasiness to volunteers who took them to the medical camp inside the ground. Though water and lemonade were being distributed there they were not of much help to many people. Dr Kamal, who has been camping at the Maidan since April 19, said 13 people, who complained of dehydration, were given first aid at the camp in the Maidan and referred to LNJP Hospital. He said most of the complaints were those of dehydration because of heat. PTI
