Kolkata, July 15 (IANS) Ten curators from India and abroad will discuss, debate and present the key concerns that they face while organising exhibitions in the global market at the two-day Experimenter Curators’ Hub (ECH) here.
The hub, an initiative of Experimenter Gallery, is now in its third year. The event begins July 26, and will help the professionals narrow down on theoretical aspects behind their work and discuss challenges.
“Contemporary practice at our gallery mirrors the diverse ideas and values of today’s society. The larger objective is to bring newer responses to visual art practice and encourage public dialogue,” Prateek Raja, one of the directors of Experimenter Gallery said in a statement Monday.
“Organising the hub is a responsibility we feel we owe to the art world to co-develop the eco-system (of art),” he said.
Presentations by Alessandra Vintecelli, Che Kyongfa, Daniel Muzycuk, Girish Shahane, Kathrin Rhomberg, Nancy Adajania, Natasha Ginwala, Oliver Kielmayer, Pooja Sood and Sandhini Poddar will explore their individual practices.
There will be an open session at the end of each of the two days, where presenters will engage with the audience.
