CRPF gets best marching contingent trophy for R-Day

New Delhi: Defence Minister AK Antony today handed over the best marching contingent trophy for Republic Day 2014 to paramilitary CRPF.[caption id=“attachment_1397001” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] The CRPF marching contingent passes through Rajpath during the full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day Parade-2014, in New Delhi on 26 January 2014. Image courtesy PIB[/caption] The trophy was received by Central Reserve Police Force chief Dilip Trivedi along with the parade commander Assistant Commandant JN Jena, who led the 125-member foot contingent on 26 January. The CRPF is country’s largest paramilitary force with close to 3-lakh personnel in its ranks and is deployed across the country for rendering internal security duties. PTI
