A journalist from Beijing News, who worked under cover since 5 August, found that maids at the hotel use bath towels to clean toilets and teacups.

Cleaning toilets and teacups with bath towels proved costly for a Chinese hotel as it was forced to apologise to its customers for its wrongdoing. “We apologise to our dear customers and will rectify our management,” Zhou Jia, general manager of Beijing Mehood Hotel, located at East 3rd Ring Road was quoted as saying by China Daily.[caption id=“attachment_1052575” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Wrong use of the bath towel.
