Bhopal: A case of fraud has been registered against the brother of an IPS officer’s wife for allegedly giving her two cheques that bounced, police said today.[caption id=“attachment_736621” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]Cheque trouble. Cheque trouble. [/caption] Sunita Singh, wife of Additional Director-General of Police Sailesh Singh complained that her brother Prakash Singh had given her two cheques against the sale of property belonging to the family, but they later bounced, police said. She said that the cheques had been issued from accounts in two separate banks and their total amount was around Rs 75 lakh. Prakash had closed the two bank accounts after issuing the cheques, police said. A case has been registered against Prakash under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. PTI
