Brahimi to visit Damascus

Beirut:  UN-Arab League envoy Lakhdar Brahimi is expected in Damascus on Friday to try to broker a brief ceasefire in the war between President Bashar al-Assad and rebels, UN spokesman in Damascus Khaled al-Masri told Reuters.
