Army guns down KPLT militant in Assam

Diphu, Assam: A Karbi Peoples’ Liberation Tiger (KPLT) militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district, police sources said today.[caption id=“attachment_1418787” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Tackling militancy. AFP[/caption] The encounter took place between the militants and troops of 2 Dogra Regiment at Sidinggaon under Anjukpani police station in the district late Monday night. Two 9 mm pistols, five rounds of ammunition, an empty cartridge of a 9 mm pistol and a grenade were seized. The area was being combed. PTI
