Ajit Jogi, Hariprasad tiff at Congress function

Bilaspur: Congress general secretary and in-charge of party affairs in Chattisgarh BK Hariprasad and former chief minister Ajit Jogi had a spat during a party function at Bilha village earlier this week. Party sources said that during a training camp at Bhilai on Monday, Hariprasad ticked off—from the dais—some workers who shouted slogans in favour of Jogi.[caption id=“attachment_508925” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Infighting in the Congress. PTI[/caption] Hariprasad said if workers were Jogi’s wellwishers, they should maintain discipline. Jogi, being a senior leader, did not need anybody shouting slogans for him, he said. Sources said Jogi was annoyed by this statement and said from the dais that the camp had not been organised “to speak about Jogi”. “Nobody will say my name. This is a Congress camp and instead of workers, it is leaders who need some training,” Jogi spoke into a microphone. Hariprasad was about to leave the dais but other leaders persuaded him to stay, the sources added. After the camp concluded, both Jogi and Hariprasad dismissed the incident, claiming their relations were cordial. PTI
