Mumbai: Aircraft manufacturer Airbus today said that for the first time in the country it will showcase the corporate jet version of its A318 airliner, the ACJ318, which boasts of the widest and tallest cabin, at the Hyderabad Air Show beginning on Tuesday.
The Airbus ACJ318 on display is operated by Abu Dhabi-based Al Jaber Aviation, which offers it for VVIP charters in a spacious and comfortable arrangement with seating for 19, the company said in a statement.[caption id=“attachment_241654” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“Greater presence. “Corporate jets, such as the Airbus ACJ318, are primarily business tools that save time and enhance productivity, but are also an extension of the home and office facilities of company executives and world leaders, who want to take into the air, what they have on the ground,” Airbus chief executive for customers John Leahy said in the statement.
“With the widest and tallest cabin of any business jet, existing or planned, Airbus corporate jets are best placed to deliver this work and lifestyle benefit,” he added.
The ACJ318 is similar in size externally to traditional large bizjets, but has a cabin that is about twice as wide, delivering a new league in comfort, space, and freedom of movement.
Airbus corporate jets are derived from the world’s most-modern aircraft family and offer the broadest range of sizes and ranges of any bizjet manufacturer, including VIP wide-bodied jets.
The company has so far won some 170 orders since Airbus delivered its first corporate jet in the mid-80s, and are the only business jets flying on every continent, including Antarctica, and have wide presence in Asia Pacific.
