Air Vice Marshal visits Srinagar base

Srinagar: Air Vice Marshal Anil Khosla today visited the Srinagar Air Force Station and assessed operational capabilities of each unit and section. The Air Force Commanding (AOC) Jammu and Kashmir during his inspection tour assessed operational capabilities of each unit and section of the Air Force Station, a defence spokesman said.[caption id=“attachment_1363665” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Checking preparedness. Image courtesy PIB[/caption] He also assessed the infrastructure development being undertaken at the premier base of the Indian Air Force, the spokesman said. The Air Vice Marshal interacted with officers, air warriors and the civilian staff at the station and appreciated professionalism and operational preparedness of the personnel even during inclement weather, the spokesman said. The Air Vice Marshal’s wife Deepshikha was given a presentation on welfare activities undertaken for wives of Air Force personnel under the aegis of the Air Force Wives Welfare Association. She also presided over a meeting of the wives of Air Force personnel, the spokesman said. The AOC J&K appreciated the high state of alertness and determination displayed by the personnel in securing the base. PTI
