A 17% surge? Guess today's star performer

Mumbai: Shares of HCL Infosystems today soared 17 percent on the bourses amid reports that it has won contract worth of Rs 2,200 crore from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).

Buoyed by the reports, shares of the company jumped 16.62 percent to Rs 51.20 on the BSE in the morning trade. On the NSE, the scrip gained 17 percent to Rs 51.20.

Meanwhile, the broader market, the BSE barometer Sensex was trading over 90 points higher at 17,680 at 1058 hours.
