Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his maiden ODI century on Saturday as his 116 not out led India to a nine-wicket victory in the third and final match of the series against South Africa in Visakhapatnam. India thus won the series 2-1 and Jaiswal was adjudged the Player of the Match for his hundred.

Jaiswal, who had started the series with a couple of failures in the first two ODIs, bounced back to dominate the South African bowling line-up. He faced 121 deliveries and hit 12 fours and a couple of sixes to become the sixth Indian with tons in all formats of the game.
Jaiswal mixes caution and aggression
The 23-year-old opener came into the playing XI only due to captain Shubman Gill’s injury and after two failures, he was under pressure to perform. However, with Marco Jansen on song, it was not easy for Jaiswal.
The left-hander had to see off Jansen early on as the ball was moving. Jaiswal took his time with India only needing 271 runs to win. Rohit Sharma then started off in his usual aggressive style to bring up a half-century and give further time to Jaiswal.
Jaiswal batted with caution and took 75 balls to bring up his half-century. After that, he switched on his T20 mode and went berserk.
Rohit soon got out to bring Virat Kohli on the crease. Kohli just continued from where he left in Raipur.
Kohli and Jaiswal then quickly ended the game with more than 10 overs still in hand. Kohli too finished not out 65 from only 45 balls.
Earlier, India finally won the toss and opted to bowl first. This was India’s first toss win in the format after 21 straight losses.
Prasidh Krishna started India's comeback with a three-wicket spell and Kuldeep Yadav then ran through the lower order to bundle South Africa out for just 270. Quinton de Kock hit a century for South Africa but a lower-order collapse left them below-par. Krishna and Kuldeep both picked up four wickets each.
