Usman Khawaja’s wife and daughters were called terrorists on Instagram and asked to go back to Pakistan after the Bondi Beach terror attack.

Usman Khawaja’s daughters called ‘future school blasters’ as family targetted after Bondi Beach terror attack

Usman Khawaja’s wife and daughters have become targets online in the aftermath of the Bondi Beach terror attack, in which 15 people were killed in Australia. The terror attack was executed by a father-son duo who belonged to the Muslim community.

The terror mass shooting took place on 14 December when two gunmen attacked Jewish people during the first day of Hanukkah. While one gunman, who was the father, was killed on the spot by police, the son is under arrest.

Usman Khawaja’s daughters called terrorists

Australia is experiencing a lot of anti-Muslim hate in the wake of the Bondi Beach terror attack. Australian cricketer, Usman Khawaja, who is from the Muslim community, has also become a target as his wife and daughters have been called “future school blasters” and “cancer terr***** blood.

Usman Khawaja and his family have also been asked to “go home” to Pakistan.

Usman Khawaja’s wife, Rachel, made the sad revelation on Instagram as she shared screenshots of some of the disparaging comments targetting her family.

“I’ve collected a small sample of some of the comments we have received over the past week,” Rachel Khawaja posted on Instagram while sharing the screenshot. “I would love to say this is new, but sadly we have always received these kinds of messages. But of course, they have gotten worse.”

“It is important now more than ever that we continue to come together and stay united,” Rachel added. “Whether it’s standing up against antisemitism, Islamophobia, or racism, we shouldn’t stand for any of it.”

Usman Khawaja is yet to make any comment on his family being targetted by online social media handles. He, however, had condemned the incident immediately after the attack.

“Truly devastating news from Bondi today,” he wrote. “Lives lost senselessly, families shattered, the Bondi community traumatised. There are no words-only heartbreak. My thoughts and prayers are with all affected.”
