The ICC have released the tickets for semifinal and final of the T20 World Cup 2026, but the venues are still not confirmed. The semi-final 1 remains a floating venue arrangement, while the final venue will be confirmed looking at Pakistan’s situation. Refunds will be available if plans change.

Fans of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 finally have something to cheer about as tickets for the semifinals and final have gone on sale. The first semi-final is scheduled for March 4, while the second knockout game is slated to be held on March 5 before the final on March 8.

However, there is still uncertainty over where semi-final 1 and the final will be played. Semi-final 1 could be at either the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo or the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the ICC confirmed. Semi-final 2 will take place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

“Semi-final 1 remains a floating venue arrangement with the match to be held either at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo or the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, while semi-final 2 will take place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai,” the ICC said in a press release.

Why are the semifinal 1 and final venues not confirmed yet?

The venue for semi-final 1 depends on which teams qualify. If Pakistan make it to the semis, they will play in Colombo on March 4. If Pakistan do not qualify but Sri Lanka does from Group 2 Super 8s and they face a team other than India, the match will also be in Colombo.

If neither condition applies, or if India plays Sri Lanka in the knockout stage, the match will be held in Kolkata. The final will be in Colombo if Pakistan reach the summit clash, otherwise it will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

“If Pakistan qualify for the semi-finals, they will play in semi-final 1 in Colombo on 4 March. If Pakistan do not qualify for the semi-finals, but Sri Lanka qualify and play anyone other than India, then Sri Lanka will play in semi-final 1 in Colombo,” the ICC said in its statement.

“If neither of those apply, or if India are drawn against Sri Lanka, then semi-final 1 will be played in Kolkata on the same date. If Pakistan reach the final it will be played in Colombo otherwise it will be played in Ahmedabad,” the statement read.

The ICC said that tickets for a venue that is not used for semi-final 1 or the final will be refunded to fans. Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.t20worldcup.com.
