Mumbai Indians produced another dominant performance on Wednesday, thrashing Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets to complete back-to-back wins against the ‘Orange Army’ in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Trent Boult (4/26) and Deepak Chahar (2/12) were the key performers among the bowlers as MI restricted SRH to a modest 143/8 after skipper Hardik Pandya opted to field at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
Rohit Sharma (70 off 46 balls) and Suryakumar Yadav (40 not out off 19 balls) aced another chase for MI later in the evening, helping the visiting team recover from a shaky start to chase the target down with seven wickets and more than four overs to spare . Rohit, who had regained his form with an unbeaten 76 against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday, brought up his second fifty on the trot.
