Kashvee Gautam stole the limelight during the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 Auction on Saturday after she was picked by Gujarat Giants (GG) for Rs 2 crore to become the most expensive uncapped player in history. Kashvee Gautam was also the joint costliest buy in the 2024 Auction along with Australia’s Annabel Sutherland at the time of publishing this report. Gautam had a base price of Rs 10 lakh but it soon leaped to a higher figure after Royal Challengers Bangalore and GG got involved in a bidding war. After RCB pulled out, UP Warriorz fought for a while with Gujarat before pulling out as GG emerged victorious in the race to acquire Gautam’s services. On Saturday, Gautam broke Vrinda Dinesh’s record to become the most expensive uncapped player in WPL history. Vrinda Dinesh was bought by UP Warriorz for Rs 1.3 crore.
