A total of 23 matches will be played in the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup across two venues in UAE — Sharjah and Dubai, with the final to take place in Dubai. We take a look at everything you need to know about the tournament.

The 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup will get underway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 3 October, with the tournament running till 20 October. A total of 10 teams will compete in the ninth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup. The showpiece competition was supposed to take place in Bangladesh but was moved out of the country in the aftermath of anti-government protests amid political turmoil.

A total of 23 matches will be played across two venues in UAE —Sharjah and Dubai, with the final to take place in Dubai.

Format of the tournament

The 10 teams have been divided into two groups of five teams each. The top two teams from each group qualify for the semi-finals, which will be followed by the final.
