India players Shafali Verma and Radha Yadav will play for Sydney Sixers in the upcoming season of Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), the team confirmed. Verma, a fearless batter at the top, is World No 1 T20 batter and wants to seize the opportunity of playing in the Big Bash League. “This is a very good opportunity for me and my goal is to just enjoy myself, to make some new friends and have fun,” she was quoted as saying on cricket.com.au.
The 17-year-old is a rare talent who represents India across formats. She is expected to feature in India XI for their first day-night Test against Australia in Queensland. Radha adds more bite in the spin bowling department of the Sixers with Ash Gardner and Jade Allen already there. [caption id=“attachment_10001941” align=“alignnone” width=“640”]
