Watch: Gautam Gambhir takes charge of first Indian cricket team training session

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video of newly appointed Indian cricket team coach Gautam Gambhir on Tuesday. It showcased Gambhir’s first session as the coach of the team. The Indian team are in Sri Lanka for a limited overs series.

The video captures Gambhir’s intense session with the players, with focus on his hands-on approach and commitment to preparation.

In the video, Gambhir shares tips with all-rounder Shivam Dube and gives batting advice to Sanju Samson.

The upcoming T20I series between India and Sri Lanka is key not just for Gambhir as his first test. It is also crucial for skipper Suryakumar Yadav, appointed as the captain of the shortest format.

All of India’s T20I games will be played in Pallekele. After that, the team will travel to Colombo for the three-match ODI series. India skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli would likely arrive before their 50-over games.
