Young Indian batter Prithvi Shaw was recently seen taking part in batting practice in the nets at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. In September, Shaw had sustained a knee injury that has kept him out of some marquee domestic tournaments like the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as well as the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Shaw shared a story on his Instagram handle on Thursday, with the caption: “What a feeling after three months”. Shaw could be seen practicing a few shots in the story he uploaded on Instagram. A video of Shaw’s batting practice also went viral on Twitter. The 24-year-old could be seen looking to find the middle of the bat, while also making some good use of his footwork.

Shaw’s last competitive game was for Northamptonshire in a One Day Cup game against Durham in August this year. The right-handed batter scored an unbeaten 125 to guide his team to a six-wicket win. Shaw was recently retained by Delhi Capitals (DC) for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, despite having scored just 106 runs from eight matches in IPL 2023.
