However, the record for the longest six in IPL history belongs to former all-rounder Albie Morkel, who blasted a colossal 125-meter six against Pragyan Ojha during the inaugural 2008 season while representing the Chennai Super Kings.

Surprisingly, heavyweights like MS Dhoni doesn’t feature in the top-10 list. Chris Gayle, however, does find a place at number five with a meaty 119 metre six in the 2013 season.

Following Morkel, Praveen Kumar stands as the second player with a 124-meter six against Lasith Malinga in IPL 2011. Adam Gilchrist’s 122-meter hit in the same season and Robin Uthappa’s 120-meter strike for RCB in 2010 secure them spots in the top-5.

Gayle, known as the ‘Universe Boss,’ shares the fifth spot with Yuvraj Singh for their 119-meter sixes in the 2013 season. Ross Taylor and Ben Cutting also feature with 119-meter and 117-meter sixes, respectively. Cutting’s explosive innings in the IPL 2016 final helped Sunrisers Hyderabad clinch their maiden title.

Gautam Gambhir and Liam Livingstone’s 117-meter hits further showcase the thrilling power-hitting moments in the history of the IPL.
