At a time when the Ranji Trophy made a return to Patna’s Moin-ul-Haq Stadium after 27 long years, the dilapidated conditions of the venue have been making headlines. Several videos went viral, showing the stadium’s shabby infrastructure. While some posters were pasted all around the stadium to indicate danger zones, there were no proper seating arrangements and the viewing gallery even remained in a horrible state. After facing flak over the bad state of affairs at the stadium, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav recently called a review meeting to discuss the development and innovation of sports infrastructure in the state. Sharing a post from his official social media handle on X, formerly Twitter, Tejashwi Yadav talked about the details of the meeting and apprised that a world-class international stadium will be built there. He also listed the number of amenities that will be provided, including a sports complex, five-star hotel, restaurant, better drainage system, parking space and Patna Metro among other facilities. Instructions have been given to complete the DPR work within two weeks and take further action, the deputy CM stated.

It is to be noted that following the Ranji match between Mumbai and Bihar at the Moin-ul-Haq stadium, its poor conditions left viewers and cricket lovers disappointed and furious. Former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad also slammed the Bihar Cricket Association for poor maintenance of the stadium.
This is unacceptable. Ranji Trophy is the premiere domestic competition in India and it's time all stakeholders realise it's value. Don't see any valid reason for the state association not rectifying this . https://t.co/BTHs6auAah
