“My first big tournament, first world cup and to finish with figures of 2/4, I’m still pinching myself,” Nsubuga said during the mid-innings interview with the broadcasters. “You just enjoy yourself, you never know what’s coming for you. I’m looking after the young boys, they’re looking after me, so it’s been good understanding within the team that’s helping us."

“The ball wasn’t coming on and I bowled on the slower side. We needed to bowl wicket-to-wicket,” he added.

Nsubuga is also the oldest player in the T20 World Cup 2024.
