When you break an 11-year title jinx, especially after losing in two ICC tournament finals over last year, the celebrations after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 were guaranteed to be grand and it was nothing different from Team India as players and coach Rahul Dravid celebrated the world title victory in style at Barbados after beating South Africa by seven runs in the final.

What could be a much better way to celebrate the title victory than doing a bhangra? Virat Kohli, who retired from T20Is after winning the World Cup, was joined by Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel, Mohammed Siraj, and reserve players Rinku Singh and Khaleel Ahmed as the players performed bhangra to celebrate the title win.

Before the bhangra, there was a deeply emotional moment when two of the most senior players of the team - Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma - shared a heartwarming moment and hugged each other. Rohit also retired from T20Is after the World Cup victory.

Head coach Rahul Dravid, who stepped down from his post with a World Cup title, also for once allowed his emotions to get the better of him and was seen celebrating passionately with Team India players.

Pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who was declared the Player of the Tournament and played a crucial role in helping India come back in the final after South Africa were inches away from a victory, celebrated the win with his son and wife Sanjana Ganesan who is also a TV presenter.

The most emotional of all, however, was Hardik Pandya breaking into tears after successfully defending 16 runs in the final as India romped to the T20 World Cup title. Pandya was consoled by captain Rohit as they both shared an emotionally charged moment after an IPL 2024 which was disastrous for both players while playing for Mumbai Indians.
