The ICC T20 World Cup is set to be played in the West Indies and the USA from 1 June. 20 teams, most in a T20 World Cup competition, are divided into four groups of five each. They will vie for the trophy with the final on 29 June.
Unlike last edition in Australia in 2022, when the group stage was followed by the semi-finals, ICC have changed the format this time around. The top two sides from each group will go into the Super 8s. From there, the semi-finalists and finalists will emerge in a conventional bracket format.
In the group stage, each team will play each other once which means a minimum of four matches each for the teams involved.
We take a look at Group D which features two-time semi-finalists South Africa, 2014 champions Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands and Nepal.
