SRH eventually score 266/7 with Head making 89 and Shahbaz Ahmed smashing 59. Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets for 55 as DC bowlers were hit all around the park. In reply, DC scored 199, losing by 67 runs with Jake Fraser-McGurk amassing 65 off just 18 balls.

The previous highest in IPL was 105 for 0 by Kolkata Knight Riders against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2017.
30 balls: It took 5 overs for SRH to bring up 100 runs against DC – this is the fastest team 100 in men’s T20 cricket history. They broke South Africa’s record of 5.3 overs which was set aginst West Indies in Centurion in 2023. The previous fastest in IPL was 5.6 overs which was held by KKR against RCB in 2017 and by Chennai Super Kings against Kings XI Punjab in 2014.

158/4: SRH were at 158/4 at the end of 10 overs which is the highest score in IPL history at the halfway stage. They broke the record of 148 for two which they made against Mumbai Indians earlier this season. It is also the joint-second highest score in men’s T20 cricket and only behind Worcestershire’s 162/0 against Northamptonshire in 2018.
3: SRH have now scored three 250-plus totals in IPL which is one more than RCB and the highest in the T20 League. They are the only team besides Surrey to have three 250-plus totals in men’s T20 cricket.
