India have made a strong start in the T20I series against Australia, winning a thrilling match in Vizag on Thursday. It was a high-scoring encounter that put the bowlers to the test - India leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi conceded 54 runs in his four overs.

Chahal was also excluded from India’s ODI World Cup squad as the selectors opted for R Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav as the two regular spinners. Ravindra Jadeja was picked as the all-rounder in the squad.

India’s squad for Australia T20Is: Suryakumar Yadav (c), Ruturaj Gaikwad (vc), Ishan Kishan, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Shivam Dubey, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar. (Shreyas Iyer will be joining the team in the final two T20Is as vice-captain).
