Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar turned 51 on Wednesday and celebrated the occasion in a special style, spending time with female football players in the Ormanjhi block of the Ranchi district in Jharkhand. The footballers are associated with the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation and Yuwa. These foundations are working with underprivileged girls to help them achieve a better future.
“What a way to kick off my birthday week! I had so much fun playing football, sharing stories and cutting my birthday cake with these incredible girls who are supported by the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation. They were the first ones to wish me and it made my week truly special,” Tendulkar wrote on X while sharing teh video of his interaction with the girls in Ranchi.

Tendulkar retired from international cricket in 2013 after playing 200 Test matches, 463 ODIs, and 1 T20I. He scored 15921 runs, 18426 runs, and 20 runs in Tests, ODIs and T20Is respectively. He is the only batter to score 100 international hundreds with 51 of them coming in Tests and 49 in ODIs.
Sachin also took 201 wickets and two five-wicket hauls in his career that began in November 1989 against Pakistan.
