IPL 2024: 'Delighted for him', Netizens impressed with Riyan Parag's heroics in RR-DC game

Rajasthan Royals’ Riyan Parag on Thursday entertained the crowd at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur with a blazing knock of 84 off 45 deliveries during an IPL 2024 match against Delhi Capitals (DC). Parag hit seven fours and six sixes during his knock that helped RR post 185/5.

Rajasthan Royals had got off to a shaky start after being put into bat by DC. The Royals Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler within the first eight overs, but then Parag did the star turn with a magnificent knock for the Royals. Parag’s knock comes after he had scored 43 off 29 balls in the last match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Parag has so far scored 127 runs from two matches at a strike-rate of 171.62. Last season, Parag had all but scored just 78 runs from seven matches, so RR would hope Parag would only go from strength to strength this season. Parag was involved in 50-run stands with R Ashwin and Dhruv Jurel.
