Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Lucknow Super Giants preview: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will hope to return to winning ways when they take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 15 of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) in Bengaluru on Tuesday. Both teams have had a mixed start to the campaign. While RCB have won one and lost two games, LSG began with a 20-run loss to Rajasthan Royals (RR) before beating Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 21 runs.
For RCB, it’s their top-order batters’ inability to fire as well as lack of consistency among bowlers that is haunting them. Virat Kohli, who has scored two fifties in three matches, has been the only most consistent performers among the top four batters, with the likes of Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell and Rajat Patidar all failing to live upto expectations.
Runs have also been hard to come by for the idle-order batters too, and that is an area RCB will look to improve upon.
RCB also lack a reliable backup option who can support Mohammed Siraj. West Indian Alzarri Joseph has only picked up one wicket (Against PBKS) and that too came at a time when he conceded 43 runs.
As far as LSG are concerned, the fitness of their skipper KL Rahul remains a matter of concern. Rahul was used as an Impact Player in their game against PBKS, with Nicholas Pooran leading the side and managed just 15 off nine deliveries. He did take part in fitness drills on Monday but LSG are still keeping a close watch on the 31-year-old.

More ShortsShould Rahul not be fit in time for the game, Deepak Hooda could come in as replacement in the playing XI. LSG will hope their top-order batters too, including Quinton de Kock and Devdutt Padikkal, get them off to aggressive start.
