‘Raw emotions and pure joy’: BCCI shares Team India's dressing room scenes after World Cup semi-final win

The Indian cricket team has now made it to the final of the 2023 World Cup. Team India is just one step away from clinching the ODI World Cup title for the third time, having previously won in 1983 and 2011. Under Rohit Sharma, India secured a spot in the final with a comfortable win in the semi-finals. The atmosphere in the dressing room after India’s victory in the semi-final against New Zealand was full of energy and excitement. The players enjoyed themselves from the stadium to the hotel, where they were surrounded by fans. The Indian cricket players enjoyed themselves in the dressing room after the victory, giving autographs, congratulating each other, and sharing joyful moments. Yuzvendra Chahal was also seen in the dressing room. The leg-spinner was in the stadium to watch the semi-final.

As the Indian players left the stadium to board the bus, hundreds of fans were eagerly waiting outside. Even outside the hotel, people had queued up to welcome the side. The hotel lobby was crowded with fans, and the police were present to ensure the players’ security. As far as the match was concerned, it was a memorable one as Virat Kohli notched up his record-breaking 50th ODI century, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s tally, while Mohammed Shami achieved a historic feat by becoming the first bowler to bag three five-wicket hauls in a single edition of the 50-over World Cup. These performances guided India to the tournament final.
