There was just one phrase for India’s performance in the recent T20I series against Australia – pure domination. And while India took a positive step in its preparation for the T20 World Cup in June, spinner Ravi Bishnoi had his own little celebration. The 23-year-old Rajasthan boy is at the top of his game and picked nine wickets in the five-match series. And with that, he dethroned Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and now ranks No. 1 T20I bowler in world cricket. Speaking about the same, Bishnoi said it felt like “out of the world”. In a video shared by BCCI on X, Bishnoi spoke about his journey in the last few years. “It is an out-of-this-world feeling for me. I never dreamed of becoming the No. 1 bowler, and now that I have achieved it, it feels very good. I will try to hold on to the position, give my best performance for the team, and make it win,” he said. Bishnoi added, “I made my debut on 15 February and there have been a lot of ups and downs in my journey. But the last 1–1.5 years have been great for me, as I got to play some big matches. “We also got to play in big tournaments like the Asia Cup and the Asian Games. I got many opportunities, and it is the hard work that is paying off, and I am enjoying the journey.”
