Ranji Trophy 2023-24: Knockouts schedule, teams qualified, dates, other details

The Ranji Trophy 2023-24 league stage concludes on Monday after seven rounds of matches in the Elite and Plate Groups.

After this stage, as many as eight teams will make it to the quarterfinals from the Elite Groups, while Manipur and Goa have been relegated to the Plate Group for the next season. Hyderabad and Mizoram, who are currently in the Plate Group Final, will take the places of Manipur and Goa in the Elite division next season.

Manipur finished last in Group A in the Elite Group after they lost all their matches. Goa, on the other hand, struggled at the bottom of Group C, where Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka raced ahead to the knockouts.

41-time champions Mumbai once again were the most dominant side across all Elite Groups as they picked up 37 points after seven rounds. They won five, drew one and lost one game. Andhra Pradesh finished second behind Mumbai in Elite Group B.

One of the major developments in the group stage was Tamil Nadu making it to the knockouts for the first time since the 2016-17 season. They progressed to the next round after beating Punjab by nine wickets in the final league match at the Salem Cricket Foundation Ground on Monday.

The quarterfinals of the tournament will take place simultaneously starting from 23 February. The final is slated to be held from 10 to 14 March.
