Mohammed Shami underwent a successful heel surgery on Monday in London to repair his right Achilles tendon. The news was shared by the cricketer though X (formerly Twitter). “Just had a successful heel operation on my Achilles tendon! Recovery is going to take some time, but looking forward to getting back on my feet,” he wrote.
Shami’s surgery this close to the IPL 2024 which starts on 22 March means the pacer is all but certain to miss the upcoming season of the cash-rich league.
