Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer Mayank Yadav has been in some form in his maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) season. After registering figures of 3/27 against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their previous game, Mayank continued to perform consistently with figures of 3/14 from four overs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old is soon becoming synonymous with bowling in excess speeds, more than 150 kmph quite often. And on Tuesday, he produced a ripper of a delivery to remove RCB’s Cameron Green.
Green was batting on nine when he was dismissed by Mayank. It was a length ball that landed outside off from Mayank, and Green ended up playing the wrong line on this occasion while going for a drive. There was immense pace from Mayank, whose ball beat the outside edge before hitting the top of off stump.
You can watch the dismissal here. At the time of writing this report, RCB were in a spot of bother at 85/4 from 12 overs, needing another 97 runs from 48 balls. RCB are in ninth place in the 10-team points table with one win three matches, whereas LSG are in sixth place with one win in two matches.
